The One for The Monkeys

It all began when I was young. Seeing a lifeless howler monkey's body lying on the street next to me, I knew I had to make a change. I realized my purpose was to give these voiceless creatures a voice through my camera. About six years later, in 2017, I reached out to SIBU Sanctuary in Nosara, Costa Rica. I booked my flight and began my journey to share the stories of these little furry creatures.

I decided to make a change.

My camera shared their story.

I arrived in Costa Rica and began my journey. I interviewed a woman named Vicki and got to know her and the monkeys she had been rescuing. She shared their stories and highlighted how little some people care about their lives, emphasizing the significant impact that electrical wires have on howler monkeys. Tragically, they were electrocuted and killed far too often to be counted.

It spread around the country.

I shared their stories, and my friends and family helped spread the word. Together, we raised enough funds to help save some of these little guys. The money provided SIBU with supplies to rescue monkeys, making their efforts a little easier.

This was my first film that allowed me to help creatures on this planet who were suffering due to human actions.

Since then, I have viewed my films as an outlet to give a voice to beings who don't have one.

Below is the website where you can watch the film and make donations to support these little guys!
